Kristy Clabaugh is a Certified Public Accountant and has 15+ years’ experience in providing accounting, tax and advisory services to businesses and high net worth individuals. Kristy is motivated by working with clients to minimize taxes at both the state and federal levels. Kristy also has developed expertise in advising start-ups on structuring, budgeting and implementing and meeting strategic goals. Kristy serves on the executive board of directors as Treasurer for both the Georgia Production Partnership and Women in Film & Television Atlanta. She is also a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
John Thomas is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master of Accountancy as well as a Master of Businesses administration, both earned at Mercer University. John has long served closely held corporations and high net worth individuals by providing accounting, tax, advisory and consulting services. John is driven by helping his clients implement strategies that cultivate growth in their businesses as well as building value by opening doors for their further development. John is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Jennifer Prince, our Firm Operations Manager, plays a crucial role in overseeing all phases of administration, personnel, finances, compliance, and marketing. She collaborates closely with the firm’s partner group on policy setting, problem-solving, and decision-making. Jennifer plans, organizes, and directs the day-to-day operations of the firm, implements firm policies, and oversees the tax practice’s filing process for all clients.
With over 12 years of firm management experience in the business and legal fields, Jennifer’s expertise lies in planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Her legal background and history of firm management consistently bring Element forward. She holds a Juris Doctorate and specializes in negotiation.
Jennifer is particularly proud of being a “girl mom” to her two beautiful daughters, Olivia and Raelyn. She thrives on solving difficult problems and enjoys challenges. A people person at heart, Jennifer is always thinking of ways to make clients and colleagues feel special.
Her motivation to join the firm stemmed from its mission statement of creating inseparable bonds with clients and the opportunity to work with a knowledgeable and dedicated staff. Jennifer values the company’s consistent recognition as one of the Best Places to Work in Atlanta.
Born and raised in Georgia, Jennifer enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new places off the beaten path. She’s often found at local food festivals or new restaurants. Surprisingly good at video games and playing pool, Jennifer also loves team sports, especially a good game of whiffle ball.

Specializing in the Film and Entertainment industry providing knowledge and experience in Film Tax Credit audit and certification, production accounting, tax planning, business planning and tax preparation for production and post-production companies, along with the companies and individuals that give service to the film industry.

Playing games with others in the office to keep morale up and planning company events for the entire staff to enjoy.

Dan combines his extensive film industry knowledge with accounting expertise for a holistic approach to your project. An established producer and screenwriter of internationally distributed features, shorts, and documentaries, his advisory services focus on strategies for maximizing tax incentives, union and contract compliance, and reporting efficiencies throughout the production process.
What are your most significant professional achievements?
Screenwriter & Producer of Susie’s Hope; Associate Producer of Signing Day; Producer of Athens: Inside-Out 2; Producer of “Level 34.” Developed and implemented the standardized curriculum for the Georgia Film Academy. Served as Manager of Production Accounting for over two dozen films and TV programs with Storyboard Production Accounting.

What motivated you to join the company?
The opportunity to develop an indispensable service for film and television productions, and to generate sustainable careers for the next generation of film producers and production accountants.

I was born in California, but my family moved to my hometown of Greenville, SC, when I was a year old.
What do you do for fun, extracurricular activities?
I am proud to be the assistant coach for my son’s little league baseball team. I also serve as the President of the Board of Trustees at my church, and I volunteer for Make A Wish Foundation of Georgia. I enjoy building things like treehouses and wooden swords for pirates!

Turning stressful situations into manageable accomplishments.

Please describe your current role within the company.
My current role within the company is a Production Accountant. I work with the accounting of film and TV productions across the United States.
What are your professional areas of expertise?
My professional areas of expertise include various states’ film tax qualification regulations as well as proficiency in software related to my work such as excel and many production accounting platforms.
How do you contribute to the company culture?
I contribute to company culture by doing my best to keep work a fun environment that isn’t weighed down by negativity. I bring the same humor and positivity I have outside of work into the office!
What motivated you to join the company?
I was motivated by Kristy and John’s vision of an accounting firm that doesn’t feel like an
accounting firm. To put their employee’s health and happiness first while creating inseparable
bonds with clients sounded like a no-brainer to me.

I was raised in Peachtree City, Georgia.
What do you do for fun, extracurricular activities?
Outside of work, I love being outside. I enjoy hiking, running, golfing, and playing tennis!
What is your hidden talent or superpower?
My hidden talent is being able to have a conversation with anybody. I am a people person through and through!

I have vast experience in General Accounting, Budgeting/Forecasting and Financial
Auditing.

Our company culture is truly like a family. I am part of the family. It is a fun place to be and I always participate in all the activities.

Burger King Head Quarters (BKMEHQ) – Riyadh. I had been working as a financial analyst here
and was the first person to introduce PEACHTREE SOFTWARE for accounting / financial
purpose. I was the one who transferred all accounting records from paper to digital format.

I was captivated by the uniquely positive approach of the Element working environment.

I was born in Saudi Arabia (Dhahran) but I am from Pakistan (Karachi).

Hanging out with friends and family. I’m an adventurous person who likes to travel to
different places and try different cuisines.

Play tennis (2023 Winter Division Champion, just sayin) Softball with my little sister, play with my dogs, and watch a lot of movies.
